The Nereids, sea nymphs in Greek mythology , have been immortalised by sculptors throughout the years because of their mysterious nature. Sculptures have the power

to statically capture a single emotion while exposing fully the depicted character to

the observer. The audience then, participates in the storytelling by allowing their

imagination to travel in different directions in an attempt to empathise

with the character’s emotions.
